Intensive Unit: Formative Christian Teaching

  • Arden Anglican College (map)

Join Emma Collett for an intensive unit in Formative Christian Teaching (DE045-812) that develops both a theology of Christian education and a practical understanding of Christian teaching in educational settings.

This unit will explore questions like:

● What is Christian education? What does it mean to teach Christianly?

● How does the gospel shape not just what we teach, but how and why we teach?

● In what ways are we being formed as teachers - and how are our students being formed?

● What does faithfulness look like in the everyday realities of classrooms, staff rooms, leadership and school communities?

● How do we teach Christianly amongst diverse personal beliefs?
