Meet Lee
My name is Lee Murray. I am 30 years old, from Northern Ireland, married to Cathra and a proud father to Joshua (2) and Grace (2 months). Since the beginning of 2008 I have been working 3 days a week as the youth minister at Engadine Congregational Church. Prior to this I was a nurse in intensive care both in Australia and in the UK.
In 2009, I began studying the Diploma of Theology at Youthworks College. Through a process of prayer, God's guidance and practical considerations I decided to study at Youthworks. Studying two days a week meant I could continue work in ministry and as it is classed as "full time" study I was eligible for Fee Help and Austudy. I found this balance between practical ministry placement and theological training attractive particularly knowing that I could later articulate to a BTh. That and the excellent reputation of student lecturer rapport was a real draw card.
Meet Leah
In 2009 I started my Diploma of Theology study at Youthworks. At that time I was working part time as well as doing ministry at my church and I had a desire to learn more practical skills so I could do my ministries better.
Eventually, after prayer, conversations, and excitement that brought me to tears, I enrolled at Youthworks having no idea what I was getting myself into, but thrilled that I was doing something I never expected to do.
