Advanced Diplomas of Theology/Ministry
The Advanced Diploma of Theology/Ministry programs extend the opportunity for students to reflect on the theological foundations for ministry among children and young people. Having completed the 16 units for the Diploma of Theology / Diploma of Ministry program, Advanced Diploma students go on to complete an additional four units at degree level either over one extra year of study, or part time over a number of years.
The Advanced Diploma programs provide specialised training to prepare students for employment in full time leadership ministry among children and young people.
Students seeking ordination as Children’s or Youth Ministers in the Anglican Church Diocese of Sydney complete the Advanced Diploma of Ministry with certain essential requirements before their ordination.

Advanced Diploma of Ministry Course Requirements
In order to satisfy the requirements of the Advanced Diploma of Ministry, students must complete PC249 Guided Spiritual Formation in their Diploma program, must have at least four other units in the fields of Ministry and Practice (EM, DM, PC) and complete at least four units at 300-400 level.
Advanced Diploma of Theology Course Requirements
In order to satisfy the requirements of the Advanced Diploma of Theology, students must complete two units each of Old Testament Introduction, New Testament Introduction, Church History and Theology, and one unit each in Old Testament and New Testament exegesis in their Diploma program. An additional four units must be completed at 300-400 level.

Ministry placement
Advanced Diploma students are required to work in regular Christian ministry with children or young people in a recognised ministry placement. Any changes to a student's ministry placement following their Diploma course must be confirmed by the College before the commencement of study using the Ministry Placement Confirmation Form.
